Welcome to Salt'n Burn, a fanart site run by galathea, hosted at deadly-nighshade. You can find wallpapers, banners and icons from various TV shows as well as movies here, but most of my portfolio is focused on Supernatural art. Fanartists can also find some resources here, like textures and gradients.

This site is best viewed in IE 6+ and Firefox/Mozilla with a 1024x768 resolution. If you encounter any problems during your stay, please be so kind to drop me a message or a mail, so I can take care of that!

A huge thanks goes to Nikki who was so kind to host me at her domain, as well as to Rosely who did most of the coding for this page! Thanks as well to all my friends over at BuffyForums, who nagged me to get a site up and running, without them this site would have never come into existence.

First off, I want to say that I am sorry for the problems you all may have encountered if you tried to access Salt'n Burn over these last couple of months. A virus problem with some of the other subdomains on Misplaced caused Google/Firefox to mark the whole domain as insecure and blocked site access, no matter which page a viewer tried to open. I can assure all my visitors that it is completely safe to access my site. My host is currently trying to remove the problem. Thank you for your patience.

New Layout I didn't update Salt'n Burn for quite a while, because I figured it makes no sense, given that nobody has been able to access my site anyway. The problem should be resolved soon though, so I thought I celebrate this occasion with a new layout. This layout is based on my 'Day and Night' wallpaper. I've never had a black&white layout before, but I have to say, I like it!

New Art: I've managed to make 5 wallpapers in 2010 so far, and they are all based on fanart requests from friends. Day & Night is about the dark/light juxtaposition of Sam and Dean in S4. Free Spirit is my first wallpaper ever, that hasn't actually any people in it. It's a 'promo' piece for the Impala. Zombie is a character piece for Dean in 'Bloodlust' and A Cruel Order is an episodic piece for 'On The Head Of A Pin', depicting the moment where Castiel orders Dean to torture Alistair. Last but not least: Mea Culpa is a character piece for Sam at the beginning of S5, focussing on his remorse for his actions in S4.

In other news: The AFA Awards took place last week and I won 14 awards with the 9 wallpapers I entered this year. Thanks to everyone who voted for my art. I added the awards to the respective pieces. I also updated my gifts section and the affiliate/resources pages.
